The University of Mosul, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, announced the start of the preliminary stages of the Assyrian Library reconstruction project, after officially handing over the site to Al-Fao Engineering Company, which started its work within a three-years plan, with the financial support of the Council of Ministers.<\/p>\n
The project will include three buildings: The Assyrian Library building, an administrative building, and a service building, with architectural designs that embody the historical stages that Mosul has gone through, from the Assyrian era, through the Islamic era, to the modern era. The three buildings will be connected by pedestrian bridges that symbolize the transition between these eras.<\/p>\n
