On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, met with an outstanding student team behind the innovative artificial intelligence project \u201cUoM AI\u201d, marking a significant step forward in the university\u2019s digital transformation journey.<\/p>\n
The meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr. Duha Basheer Abdullah, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, who praised the students’ pioneering achievement.<\/p>\n

Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Haleema \u2013 Department of Cybersecurity<\/p>\n
Saleh Waleed Saleh Al-Nuaimi \u2013 Department of Computer Engineering<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the students gave a presentation on the system’s design and functionality. They explained that \u201cUoM AI\u201d operates as a smart assistant that provides accurate and instant information to university students, staff, and applicants\u2014particularly through the \u201cStudy in Iraq\u201d program\u2014by answering inquiries and offering verified institutional data.<\/p>\n
\u201cUoM AI\u201d is the first intelligent system of its kind developed entirely by students within Iraqi universities, utilizing AI technologies and direct integration with the university\u2019s databases. This innovation reflects the students\u2019 capacity to create advanced technical solutions that enhance institutional efficiency.<\/p>\n
Prof. Dr. Al-Ibrahimi commended the students\u2019 creative efforts, expressing pride in their achievement and reaffirming the university\u2019s commitment to supporting its talented students and transforming their innovative ideas into impactful realities that serve both the institution and the local community.<\/p>\n
