As part of its ongoing initiatives to raise environmental awareness and advance sustainable development, the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at the University of Mosul organized a workshop on Monday, August 11, 2025, titled: \u201cOrganic Fertilizers and Their Role in Enhancing Sustainable Agriculture \u2013 Vermicompost as a Model.\u201d<\/p>\n
The session was presented by Assistant Lecturer Rahma Mukhlis Adel, who holds a Master\u2019s degree in Plant Protection Sciences from the College of Agriculture and Forestry.<\/p>\n
The workshop highlighted the benefits of organic fertilizers compared to chemical alternatives, the best practices for their use in clean agriculture, and their contribution to improving soil quality and protecting human health, in addition to their role in advancing agricultural sustainability.<\/p>\n
