The Systems and Software Division at the Electronic Computer Center of the University of Mosul has launched the university\u2019s URL shortening system, designed and implemented by Mr. Diaa Saif Al-Islam Ali, Assistant Engineer. The system allows university colleges, research and service centers, and administrative departments to generate short links with QR codes and obtain accurate statistics on their usage.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The system covers various types of links, such as:
\n\u2022 Official websites
\n\u2022 Surveys and data collection
\n\u2022 Student and administrative services
\n\u2022 Academic conferences and events
\n\u2022 Electronic systems<\/p>\n
The system is distinguished by the following features:
\n1. Exclusive access via university email to ensure secure use.
\n2. Shortening long URLs and generating clear, easy-to-use QR codes.
\n3. Creating and saving QR codes for use as direct links.
\n4. Detailed statistics including (visit times, types of devices used, geographical locations of visitors, total visits and unique visits, date of last visit), which help in analyzing link effectiveness and improving services.
\n5. The ability to disable access via QR code when needed.<\/p>\n
