As Part of Developing Students\u2019 Skills, Mosul University Female Medical Students Participate in Specialized French Language Training<\/p>\n
As part of efforts to invest the talents of Mosul University students and enhance their language skills, a group of fifth-year female medical students \u2014 Noor Omar Badr, Maab Malath Fadel, and Sara Nabil Subeih \u2014 participated in a specialized training course to improve their French language proficiency. The course was held at the CAVILAM Institute in Vichy, France, from August 4 to 14, 2025.<\/p>\n
This participation comes within the framework of the French summer fellowship program, provided by the Cooperation and Cultural Activity Department at the French Embassy in Baghdad, designated for students holding a DELF B1 certificate.<\/p>\n
This fellowship is the first of its kind offered to medical students in Iraq, as it was previously limited to students of French language departments. This represents a pioneering step to promote the French language in the fields of scientific research and medical education.<\/p>\n
The initiative is part of the efforts of the French-Iraqi Cultural Institute, which supervises the DELF examinations at its Mosul exam center, and also organized the first Francophone Medical Forum. The forum paved the way for numerous medical students to engage in these courses and achieve competitive results, qualifying them for international fellowship programs.<\/p>\n
This participation also contributes to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by:<\/p>\n
