For innovative solutions in the medical field, the University of Mosul announced the publication of a distinguished scientific research by lecturer Shaker Ghazi Karkis from the College of Science, in collaboration with researchers from Iraqi universities, in a peer-reviewed scientific journal affiliated with the University of Karbala.<\/p>\n
The research was titled:
\nSynthesis of Gold Nanoparticles Using Hordeum vulgare Leaf Extract and their Antibacterial Activity<\/p>\n
It addressed the development of an eco-friendly biological method for synthesizing gold nanoparticles using extracts of Hordeum vulgare (barley) leaves, along with studying their effectiveness in combating bacteria, especially antibiotic-resistant strains such as Acinetobacter baumannii and Salmonella typhi.<\/p>\n
The results showed high efficiency of the biologically synthesized nanoparticles in inhibiting bacterial growth compared to conventional methods, in addition to being a safe and promising technique for medical applications, aimed at addressing challenges associated with antibiotic resistance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
