The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University, and attended by all Council members, coinciding with her meeting with the University\u2019s women\u2019s affairs officers.<\/p>\n<p>At the outset, the University President welcomed the guest and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination with the Ministry\u2019s departments to advance institutional objectives and activate programs related to women\u2019s empowerment and their effective participation in the university environment.<\/p>\n<p>The Council extensively discussed several important items on its agenda, as follows:<\/p>\n<p>1. The Council directed that its regular meetings be held every Saturday, in accordance with the directives of the Prime Minister, to avoid disrupting the work of ministries and public institutions and to ensure the smooth delivery of services during official working days.<\/p>\n<p>2. The Council discussed adopting a standardized uniform at the University of Mosul, to be implemented from the beginning of the next academic year, with the aim of strengthening university identity and promoting an organized institutional appearance across the campus.<\/p>\n<p>3. The Council discussed official working hours following the summer break to reduce traffic congestion and ensure the smooth operation of academic and administrative activities. A flexible schedule was considered whereby the University\u2019s units would be divided into two groups: the first beginning work at 8:00 a.m. and the second at 9:00 a.m. This arrangement would help alleviate traffic congestion and facilitate the movement of staff and students.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting concluded with discussions on several other items on the Council\u2019s agenda to safeguard staff interests and support the University\u2019s scientific and administrative progress, in line with the approach, regulations, and directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at advancing institutional and academic performance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; On Sunday, June 14, 2026, the University of Mosul Council hosted Dr. Nada Al-Abidi, Director of the Women\u2019s Affairs Department and the Media and Government Communications Directorate at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
