Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches Launches Training Program for Sinjar Farmers.

In a move to enhance agricultural capabilities and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a team from the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches at the University of Mosul conducted a training visit to the Sinjar District Agriculture Division on Monday, November 3, 2025.

The purpose of the visit was to initiate a training program for the farmers of Sinjar District, marking the start of a specialized program focused on implementing Conservation Agriculture techniques in their lands. This activity was executed in collaboration with the Nineveh Agriculture Directorate and the international organization Solidarités International.

This initiative is part of the broader efforts to achieve two key Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The program aims to empower farmers by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to adopt sustainable agricultural practices, which will contribute to improved productivity and the preservation of natural resources.
