Lying in center of the University, Central Library is a large treasury of knowledge, boasting thousands of different cultural and scientific titles. It is restored to a new fitting look after being subjected to the ugliest forms of burning and destruction, where nearly a million rare books and manuscripts were deliberately burned. It serves the University community as well as other Iraqi researchers.
The Center is a two-storey building that lies next to Central Library. A break station, it embraces students and others and offers meals, drinks and other services. Moreover, it includes the Museum of Fine Arts, Studio, Directorate of Student Affairs, and University Infirmary. It is rehabilitated within the reconstruction campaign to a wonderful format and façade, along with its recreational parks, which are used to hold scientific and artistic activities.
University of Mosul seeks to expand greeneries for a natural welfare atmosphere, in addition to the bright and beautiful view, decorating its various colleges and buildings with 5800 green square meters. On the other hand, it is to meet the requirements of the international education quality.
University Grand Theater
It is one of the largest theaters in the Middle East, capacitating 1000 – 1500 spectators. It embraces the activities, events and festivals of the University as well as the activities of other institutions. It is restored, after being severely destroyed and burned, to a new fashionable format.
