Scientific Visit by College of Environmental Sciences Students to the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches , University of Mosul.

The Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches at the University of Mosul hosted a scientific visit on Thursday, November 6, 2025, for second-year students from the Climate Change Department at the College of Environmental Sciences, accompanied by their professors. The visit aimed to enhance the students’ applied knowledge and connect theoretical studies with practical reality.
The students were received by researchers from the Center, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Subhi Al-Taweel and Dr. Adnan Abdul Ahmed (faculty members at the Center). They delivered scientific lectures on the concept of Conservation Agriculture, also known as No-Till Farming, highlighting its importance in soil preservation. This focus is in line with Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action).
The visit included a field tour of the Center’s facilities, where students were introduced to the specialized research laboratories and the machinery and equipment available, providing them with direct exposure to the scientific and applied capabilities of the Center.
