Scientific Visit to the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research’s (C.AFCAR) at the University of Mosul.
AFCAR center hosted a scientific visit on Thursday, 27 November 2025 for PhD students from the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, College of Agriculture and Forestry. Dr. Mahmood Awad Hussein (the Head of the Agri. Technologies Department at the Center). Dr. Hussein outlined the key projects overseen by the Center and conducted a guided tour of its facilities.
During the tour, students were introduced to the Center’s equipment, devices, and machinery. He was also provided a comprehensive explanation of the various types of seeders specialized for conservation agriculture, detailing their operating approach and primary parts.
The visit offered attendees valuable insight into the Center’s operational framework and its prominent research activities in the field of conservation agriculture. It provided the students with a unique opportunity to observe applied experiments and research programs dedicated to advancing the agricultural sector.
