The Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches at the University of Mosul Welcomes Master’s Students from the College of Agriculture and Forestry.

On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches received Master’s students from the Department of Field Crops at the College of Agriculture and Forestry during a scientific visit aimed at introducing them to modern techniques in the field of grain legume crops.
The students were welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Maan Mohammed Saleh, Head of the Genetic Resources Department at the Center, who delivered an introductory lecture covering the nature of the Center’s work and its key research activities in dryland and conservation agriculture. The lecture also highlighted the legume crop projects implemented in the Center’s fields and those provided through international organizations and research institutions.
Dr. Saleh then accompanied the students on a field tour of the Center’s facilities, which included visits to the scientific laboratories, as well as a review of the modern equipment and machinery available at the Center.
This visit comes as part of strengthening academic and research collaboration between the Center and educational institutions, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 15 (Life on Land), which focuses on protecting terrestrial ecosystems.
