University of Mosul Sustainable Development Unit Delegation Visits Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches to Monitor Annual Plans.

   In the framework of continuous monitoring of the University of Mosul’s Sustainable Development strategy implementation, the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches hosted a high-level delegation from the Studies and Planning Department / Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

   The visiting delegation was headed by Assist. Lecturer Raad Ahmed Ayoub, Head of the Sustainable Development Unit at the University of Mosul. The visit aimed to conduct a field review of the Center’s work and monitor the progress made in implementing the annual plans related to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

   The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Subhi Al-Taweel, the Center’s Director, in the presence of the Sustainable Development Liaison Officer representative and the Center’s Media Officer.

   During the meeting, Dr. Mohammed Subhi Al-Taweel affirmed that the Center operates according to research and scientific programs specifically designed to serve the SDGs. He explained that the Center’s research focuses on developing dryland and conservation agriculture methods and supporting innovation to face environmental and economic challenges, thereby contributing to enhancing food security and the sustainability of natural resources.

   This visit aims to strengthen the integration between the Center and the University Presidency, ensure the alignment of research activities with the University’s strategic vision, and effectively contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDGs 2, 6, 12, 13, 15, and 17.
