On Thursday, September 11, 2025, the Department of Sociology at the College of Arts held a defense for a Higher Diploma thesis, which is equivalent to a master's degree. The thesis was titled, "The Role of Care for People with Special Needs in Promoting Social Peace: A Field Study at Al-Noor Institute for the Blind in Mosul."
