Scientific Responsibilities:

1. Providing Quran recitation instruction to the University’s academic and administrative staff and students.
2. Teaching and facilitating the memorization of the Holy Quran for the University’s staff and students.
3. Organizing training courses on the theoretical and practical rules of Quranic recitation (Tajweed) for University staff, teachers of Islamic Education affiliated with the Nineveh Directorate of Education, and members of religious schools affiliated with the Department of Religious Education at the Sunni Endowment Diwan.
4. Organizing lectures and workshops that serve the community by highlighting the values and guidance contained in the Holy Quran, particularly those related to professional ethics and workplace conduct for University staff and employees of government institutions across the governorate.
5. Delivering lectures for University students on proper conduct and etiquette within the educational environment, particularly in their interactions with professors, fellow students, and academic materials.

6. Organizing courses on Quran Teaching Skills and Methods for teachers of Quran recitation and memorization in the relevant departments of the Colleges of Education for Humanities, Basic Education, and Education for Women, as well as the departments of the College of Islamic Sciences; teachers of Islamic Education affiliated with the Nineveh Directorate of Education; members of religious schools affiliated with the Department of Religious Education at the Sunni Endowment Diwan; and instructors at Quranic learning centers affiliated with the Nineveh Endowment Directorate.

Administrative Responsibilities:

1. Organizing regular competitions in Quran recitation and memorization at the University level.
2. Organizing an annual ceremony on 27 Rajab – National Quran Day to honor prominent figures in the field of Quranic studies, in accordance with Ministerial Directive No. (9), dated 23 January 2025, issued by the Minister’s Office, Department of Media and Government Communication.
3. Supervising all Quran-related activities at the University to ensure their coordination, unification, and support in a manner befitting the Holy Quran.
4. Conducting Quran memorization examinations for applicants to the Quran Memorization admission track for postgraduate and undergraduate studies.
5. Supervising the organization of Quran recitation circles for University staff and students.
6. Supervising the organization of Quran memorization circles for University staff and students.
7. Preparing and qualifying administrators and trainers to supervise the Quranic circles affiliated with the Unit at the University.
8. Establishing electronic Quranic circles for Quran recitation instruction and memorization.
