College of Dentistry discussed M.Sc. Thesis entitled " Assessment of Serratiopeptidase and Chymotrypsin Therapy on Facial Skin Model of Hyaluronic Acid Injection in Rabbits" on 18 March 2024 forwarded by Abdulrahman Zaid Al-Najar. The study evaluated the effect of both serratiopeptidase and chymotrypsin on facial skin after hyaluronic acid injection through histopathological analysis, measuring complete blood picture, the serum concentration of C- reactive protein, al-antitrypsin and Glutathione Peroxidase. It was proved by the study that serratiopeptidase and chymotrypsin treatments resulted in a significant increase in Glutathione Peroxidase levels suggesting a potential therapeutic benefits in body's antioxidant defenses against inflammation-induced oxidative stress.
