IELTS Test Center

On Sunday, August 4, 2024, the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Stephen Hitchen, visited the University of Mosul, where he was received by the University President, Professor Dr. Qusay Kamel Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, along with several members of the University Council.

The visit comes as part of efforts to strengthen academic and cultural cooperation between the United Kingdom and Iraq, particularly in the field of higher education and language skills development.

During his visit, the Ambassador toured the University’s IELTS Center, where he was welcomed by the Center’s Director, Dr. Maher Sami, and the staff. He was briefed on the services and programs offered by the Center to support English language education and prepare students for the internationally recognized IELTS exam—enhancing their academic and professional opportunities both in Iraq and abroad.

Ambassador Hitchen expressed his appreciation for the efforts being made by the University and the IELTS Center to develop students’ skills. He also affirmed the United Kingdom’s readiness to support educational initiatives and academic collaboration with Iraqi universities.
