First Training Course for Digital Education in Lebanon
In cooperation with the Francophone Agency and with the support of the French Embassy in Iraq, The University of Mosul participated in the first training course for digital education held at the High School of Business in the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon from 1/7/2019 to 5/7/2019. Mrs. Hiba Khairudin Younis, the computer programmer in the Central Library, was one of 52 computer teachers and technicians, from various colleges, centers and departments of the university, who participated in the course. At the end of the course, a closing ceremony was held, attended by Mrs. Salwa Nakouzi, the attaché at the French Embassy in Baghdad, Mr. Irvie Saborane, the director of the Regional Office of the francophone university agency in Lebanon, representatives of the French University of Rennes 1, and Prof. Mohammed Zuhair, the administrator of the Francophone Unit in the Presidency of the University of Mosul. At the end of the ceremony, awards and certificates were distributed to participants. The Joint Higher Committee for Digital Education held a meeting throughout the course at the headquarters of the Francophone Agency's regional office. During the meeting, the work plan for the years 2020-2019 was approved to create a digital space within the University of Mosul to provide specialized services to teaching and research staff and to students from inside and outside our university.
