Central Library

On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, a BBC media delegation accompanied by the famous British journalist John Simpson visited the Central Library to prepare a filmed documentary report about the extent of the destruction that took place in Mosul University and its central library due to the ISIS terrorist gangs and how personalities, institutions and countries restore life to the central library, which is the university’s cultural and scientific symbol. Professor Omar Tawfiq, Secretary General of the Central Library accompanied by Dr. Alaa Nabil, an instructor at the Remote Sensing Center, received the delegation presenting a detailed explanation of the history of the library since its establishment in 1967 and the stages of its development to be one of the best libraries in the Middle East providing services to students and researchers.
