On Wednesday evening, 18/9/2019, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the libraries of the University of Mosul, met the Italian Dr. Marco De Donato, representative of UNIMED. The meeting was to shed light on the reality of the destruction of the libraries of the university caused by the terrorist gangs of ISIS, and seek to put a mechanism of activating joint work programs confirmed by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul. Mr. Sayf briefed Dr. Marco with an explanation about the importance of our university to the community. Dr. Marco expressed the importance of supporting the university and its libraries, thanking the President of the university, Prof. Dr. Kossay through a telephone conversation done during the meeting, hoping to meet him as soon as possible. Dr. Marco also thanked Prof. Dr. Mufeed Dhanoon Younus , Vice President for Scientific Affairs. He met Dr. Mazin Sami, Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance expressing the importance of the cooperation concerning the academic exchange program according to the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
