In conformity with the vision of Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President, University of Mosul, which emphasizes that the university should lead in managinging and supporting the intellectual and cultural activities in the community, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the Libraries, University of Mosul, received the activist Zainab Muthanna, representative of the (Communication is Our Way) team. During the meeting, they discussed the idea of activating the program (Pioneers of Giving 3) to enable the team to form libraries at the university gates inside the campus of the University of Mosul as an initiative to encourage students to read and make reading a necessity of life and daily behavior of the contemporary Iraqi people. The Secretary-General appreciated this unique cultural initiative and promised to provide all forms of moral, administrative and technical support to apply this idea as a contribution from the management and staff of the library to extend a helping hand to every meaningful effort that would raise the cultural level of Iraqi citizens. The visit included a tour in the library’s divisions and units with an explanation of the mechanism of work in the library to develop the skills of the team volunteers. However, the activist showed the team’s wish to provide activities that serve library users. She also expressed her appreciation for the constructive intellectual and scientific cooperation between the General Secretariat of the Library and the representatives of the team for the sake of the university and community
