Central Library

In accordance with the policy of the University of Mosul, headed by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, to mobilize all the efforts of the University staff to provide the best services for the users, and under the supervision of Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, and with the follow-up Ms. Ghada Abdul Karim, Lecturer, Research Unit, and Ms. Shatha Ahmed, Official of the Technical Procedures, the first step of the project of reviving the library index was completed with the assistance of Ms. Baidaa Sabir, Gift and Exchange Unit. The project includes printing the cards of shelf index, author, title and subject for books completed after the liberation of the Central Library from the control of the terrorist groups of ISIS, which burned it and its contents, especially its index, which was a reference for students and researchers in the process of searching for sources and references among the shelves of the library. All this was done with consistent efforts and modest possibilities to overcome the difficulties to make the Central Library continue its activities, as it is one of the most notable landmarks of the University and a monument of science and knowledge.
