During a Scientific Visit, Al-Dur Al-Manthor School’s Pupils Present Various Books to the Central Library

In accordance with the vision of the University of Mosul, headed by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, to enhance the role of the University in guiding and educating the community through constant support and communication with him, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, received a delegation of Al-Dur Al-Manthur Private Mixed School’s administration staff and students who insisted, according to the School’s principal Mr. Louay Sabah, that their first scientific visit would be to the Central Library which is the most important scientific and cultural symbol at the University of Mosul. The visit was to identify the importance of this scientific edifice in Nineveh province to the pupils. They dedicated a collection of books to contribute to the supporting efforts of rebuilding the University libraries, which were subject to the destruction by terrorist ISIS. The Secretary-General and the Library staff appreciated this creative and conscious initiative, stressing on the vision adopted by the University Rector that the gates of the University and Library would remain open to any effort and scientific or cultural initiative that aim to serve both science and society. Some of the events of the students were taken place during the reception. After that, the delegation was taken on tour in the Library by Ms. Shatha Ahmad, the official of technical procedures, through which she briefed them on the most important sources and periodicals and the method of borrowing, which guarantees the maximum benefit for the students of the University in all stages of study and scientific specializations.
