Central Library

Based on the approach adopted by the University of Mosul, headed by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, of honoring the University’s dedicated members, and under the supervision and presence of Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nasser Al-Malla Jassim, Former Secretary-General of University Libraries, and the members of the University libraries, Mr. Sayf honored 16 staff members of the Central Library who have reached the age of retirement. He began the ceremony praising and appreciating their sincere and tireless efforts in contributing to serving their distinguished library and long-established University. Dr. Nasser also made his statement at the ceremony in appreciating the outstanding efforts made by the just retired employees during their service in the Library, wishing to keep communicating with them even after the retirement and wishing them a new happy life. Ms. Shatha Ahmad, Head of the Technical Procedures Division, praised the true spirit of fraternity among the Library’s members. A recorded speech by Mr. Mohammed Jassim, Former Secretary-General of the University Libraries, was played appreciating the retired employees in their service to the Library’s users and for their efforts exerted in serving the University. A voice-recorded word of Mr. Omar Tawfiq, Former Secretary-General the University Libraries, expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the retired employees in serving their Library perfectly. The retired employees appreciated this honoring ceremony prepared by the Library General Secretariat and administrative and technical staff. The ceremony concluded with a speech by Mr. Sayf, in which he explained the importance of solidarity and the need to continue working as a team to keep the Central Library an edifice of awareness and knowledge. On behalf of the Library’s staff, Mr. Sayf handed the retired employees gifts and certificates of honor, presented to them by the Library General Secretariat and members.
