Active Participation of some the Library Members in a Google Scholar Training Course
In an effort of the University of Mosul, headed by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al Ahmady, to further develop the skills of the University staff in all scientific and research fields, and under the direct supervision of Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, a group of professors and employees of the Central Library participated in the training course on Google Scholar. The course was held by the College of Basic Education on Um Al-Rubiayn Hall from January 15 to 16, 2020. It was about Google Scholar and Research Gate for published research. It has addressed the way of creating Google Scholar accounts and how to link it with personal email accounts on the University’s official website. It also touched upon how to add personal researches and H-Index and Index 10 have been explained as standards of search quality through the number of quotations and citations in researches.
