Embodying the vision of the University of Mosul, called by its President Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, to build bridges of scientific and knowledge cooperation, regarding informatics and sources, with all local and international organizations and institutions, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, received a delegation from the Public Aid Organization (PAO) on Sunday, January 19, 2020. During the meeting, the activation of the means of cooperation between the General Secretariat of the University Libraries and PAO have been discussed within the vision adopted by Mr. President of the University of Mosul. It was also agreed on the outlines of future cooperation between the two sides in the near future. In addition to that, the organization and its supporters from international universities, local publishing houses and local and international donors donated a collection of books in various specialties to reach the total (1053) books with those donated previously. At the end of the visit, the Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for this volunteer effort of PAO and other supporters to provide the libraries of the University with various latest sources. For his part, Dr. Ali Abdulghany Jassim, Director of the Nineveh Office of the Organization, was so pleased for the transparency and dedication reflected by the University Presidency and the General Secretariat of the University libraries to cooperate fruitfully and overcome all the difficulties in order to raise the scientific and administrative level of the University in the interest of the Iraqi society.
