Within the policy of the University of Mosul, headed by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, to constantly held seminars and workshops among the University institutions, and under the supervision and follow-up of Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, a workshop entitled “Conflict and Peace” was held in Ibn Khaldun Library in the second University campus on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. It was within the cooperation framework between the Central Library’s Division of Continuing Education headed by Ms. Zeena Tariq Dahham, Assistant Lecturer, and two professors from the Department of Sociology – College of Arts: Dr. Iman Abdulwahhab Mosa and Ms. Alia Ahmed Jassim. During the workshop, the real aspects of conflicts and their impacts on the individual and society were explained through an open dialogue with the workshop attendants for the purpose of developing their abilities and awareness in relation to the kind of conflict to achieve the social peace based on healthy psychological, sociological and scientific foundations that serve the individual, the the University and the society
