Central Library

Reflecting the vision of Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul, to make the most of the visual and audio media in highlighting the efforts to rebuild the Central Library as it is one of the most remarkable cognitive and cultural monuments at the University, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General the University Libraries, received the media teams of Al-Fallujah Satellite TV Channel and One FM Radio to prepare a report on the plans and stages of the reconstruction of the Central Library. During the meeting, a complete explanation of the plans of the University and the Library’s General Secretariat in agreement with UNDP, the project developer, was provided. The Secretary-General answered all the inquiries submitted by the media teams. He has also confirmed that this vital file is sponsored by the University President who is following up every detail of its progress as it represents the scientific, cultural and media icon for the University of Mosul. Finally, the teams made a tour through the Library stacks to photograph modern and rare books and periodicals, which are treasures of knowledge and cultural heritage not only for our University but also for all humanity.
