In accordance with the directives of Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul, that academics should pioneer research and volunteer work to raise the University’s scientific and human level to be the edifice of science and culture as it was in the past, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, Asst. prof. Dr. Monthir Khudr Yacub, Director of Ibn Al-Atheer Publishing House and Lecturer in the College of Administration and Economics. Dr. Monthir presented copies of personal works of a group of academics in economics and history, including his personal ones, to the Library that is regarded the most notable academic source of information at the University. Mr. Secretary-General appreciated this generous initiative of the academics who are examples of giving and creativity in the fields of scientific and voluntary effort and they will be good examples for the coming generations of students at the University of Mosul. It is worth to note that Dr. Monthir has made a commendable effort to deliver the donated books to the Library personally. On the other hand, Dr. Monthir appreciated the Library’s General Secretariat and staff for the transparency and sincerity in doing their best to serve science and culture at our dear University.
