Within the framework of the policy of opening up to the world and strengthening the foundations of scientific and cultural cooperation with universities and academic and cultural institutions, called by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul, and with follow-up from Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, the Periodicals Unit received four copies of a Saudi magazine called (Al-Qafila) – ssue 6, Volume 68, December 2019, via the External Mail. It is a diversified Saudi cultural magazine sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Oil Company “Aramco Arabia”. It includes many articles and cultural and scientific reports as well as the magazine’s fixed columns. It is a distinctive addition to the Periodicals Unit and the Library’s users. It is also a step in the way of enhancing the knowledge exchange between the Central Library of the University on one hand and the cultural institutions in the neighboring countries on the other hand. The Periodicals Unit’s technical staff has indexed the donated book electronically and in a hard copy to be accessible to the users.
