Central Library

Following the approach set out by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul, of strengthening communication with international organizations, and under the supervision and follow-up from Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, the Periodicals Unit in the Central Library received a copy of the International Maritime Organization’s quarterly publication (IMO NEWS) for 2019. IMO is the United Nations specialized agency with responsibility for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine and atmospheric pollution by ships. This publication includes many vital files on the seas, ports, shipping, and fishing adopted on the UN-documented database. It is regarded a reference that enriches the Library’s periodicals with up-to-date international information of interest for the University students and researchers.
