International Poetry Day Recalls the Noble Human Meanings to Confront the Current Challenges

In view of the conviction of the University of Mosul, headed by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, in the essentiality of spreading and consolidating the positive physical and moral energies that have a great fruitful effect on the work of the individuals, institutions and society locally and internationally, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, General-Secretary of the University Libraries, and the Library staff, congratulate the Iraqi poets and the world ones on the International Poetry Day on the 21st of March, 2020, wishing them constant innovation and success in their human missions to achieve the high objectives of promoting literacy skills worldwide. The UNESCO allocated this international day to encourage national, regional and international poetic movements because poetry is one of the forms of expressions and one of the aspects of language and culture which are the most valuable human heritage, since poetry addresses the noble human values shared by all the peoples all over the world. Poetry gives a great motivation for dialogue and peace required to pave the way to combat the current international pandemic of (COVID-19) by the global efforts that can be concerted by poetry as one of the unifying factors of the world efforts.Congratulations to all the poets on their world day, and to further dedication and determination for better life for Iraq and the world.
