The Library Weekly Meeting Focuses on Promoting Regional and International Digital Informational Cooperation
Within the vision of the University of Mosul, headed by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, to overcome the University workflow constraints posed by the Corona pandemic, by using online technology, the Secretary-General of the University Libraries Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar chaired a weekly online meeting with the officials of the library divisions on Saturday, June 13, 2020, to discuss the Library work plans, files of the online cognitive cooperation and the echoes of the library news in Arabic and English on the websites and social media that showed the world the activities of the Central Library and its cooperation with the worldwide discreet institutions.Furthermore, the meeting addressed Mr. Sayf’s welcome to the Turkish Consul General Mehmet Küçüksakallı in Mosul for his willingness to support the Library, through the latter’s contact with him, where it is considered a motive for adding strategic programs to the work of the library for the benefit of its users.The meeting also mentioned the Director of Mosul Eye Mr. Omar Muhammad’s contact with Mr. Sayf to brief him on the project of Green Mosul carried out with the cooperation of Nineveh Governorate. In this regard, the Central Library stressed the importance of supporting this project through heightening the cultural and environmental awareness for the good of the society and country and that reflects the most important goals of the University.
