This bestselling biography book was authored by Robin Westen, translated into Arabic by Hajer Bu Znad and the Arabic language edition of the book was published by Ajial Publishing House (Cairo: 2014). It discusses the life, career, and impact of Oprah Winfrey, an American talk show host, actress, television producer, media executive and philanthropist. She was best known for her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, the highest-rated television program of its kind in history, which ran for 25 years from 1986 to 2011. Oprah was born into hardship and poverty in 1954 to a teenage mother and a father who was a barber. In the prime of her life, she has fallen on tough times and exposed to psychological pressure, physical abuse and social exclusion resulting from racist and discriminatory attitudes that pervaded the American society.
