The Library Discusses the Major Points of its Vision for the New Academic Year during its Weekly Meeting
Pursuant to the directives of the University Rector Kossay Al-Ahmady on the necessity of mobilizing the efforts of all University cadres to prepare the requirements for the new academic year, the Secretary-General of the University of Libraries Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar chaired a virtual weekly meeting with the library officials to discuss a number of basic areas of the Library’s vision of carrying out its message for the new academic year by committing to working hours and the presence of a number of staff members on the University Presidency’s orders because of the emerging Covid-19 pandemic to apply health prevention measures to protect the library staff and visitors. The meeting also focuses on the continuation of scientific and cultural communication with local and international academic and cultural institutions and organizations in a way that enhances the cooperation in all fields as well as the permanent openness to society. The meeting discusses the library staff efforts and Mr. Sayf’s follow-up to provide urgent technical advice to the library of the late notable calligrapher Prof. Yusuf Thannun. It was also discussed that the electronic index of green culture will be released and published on the Library
