In accordance with the vision of the University of Mosul headed Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, to open up the University of Mosul to the community and support the cultural and cognitive scenes. The Secretary-General of the University Libraries Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, accompanied by some of the Central Library’s staff members, visited the Book Forum Exhibition on Thursday, October 22, 2020. The exhibition witnessed a distinctive and active involvement of intellectuals and publishing houses that have intellectual and cultural influence in the University and City of Mosul. After touring the exhibition and meeting some the officials of the participated publishing houses, Mr. Sayf took the floor addressing the role and significance of books, libraries and publishing houses in communities. During the visit and on his own behalf and on behalf of the staff members of the Central Library, he gave the curators and organizers of the exhibition certificates of appreciation for their distinguished roles in spreading science and knowledge among all classes of society, wishing them continued brilliance and success in their noble endeavor to build new Iraqi generations on sound foundation
