University of Mosul’s Active Presence at the Iraq International Book Fair
Within the direction of the University of Mosul, presided over by Rector Al-Ahmady, to enhance interactive participation in intellectual and creative events and activities that promote culture and awareness to establish educated and advanced society, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, had an active presence in the Iraq International Book Fair, representing the University of Mosul in this highly important cultural event held in Baghdad, noting that Mr. Saif is one of the members of the Fair’s Ministerial Committee headed by the Chief of the Ministry’s Division of Library and Information Development, Dr. Faiza Adeeb Al-Bayati. During the visit, he met one of the writers of Mosul, Dhiyaa Jumaa, who presented the Central Library with a number of his books displayed in the Fair and appreciated the University of Mosul for its support for the Iraqi intellectual youth energies. He also met many academic and intellectual participants and organizers of the Fair, expressing the University of Mosul’s unlimited support for it as one of the distinguished Iraqi and international cultural events that will have a distinct role in building a civilized, advanced and cultured Iraqi society
