Under the supervision and presence of the Secretary-General of the University Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, the Central Library’s Continuing Education Division, headed by Asst. Lect. Zina Tareq, conducted a virtual training course entitled (ABC Windows Operating System in Office Work) that lasted three days from June 29 to July 1, 2021. During the course, Dr. Ghada Abdulkarim and Ms. Heba Khairuddin have discussed many relevant topics including the nature and functions of operating systems with a focus on Windows in terms of its operation, controlling desktop, icons, taskbar, applications, windows, folders, deleting, retrieving, renaming, computer specifications, screen copying, settings of date and time, changing background, screen saver as well as dealing with auxiliary storage media such as hard disk, optical memory and how to copy files to them. The course was completed on the third day with an exam for the course attendees who were granted participation and examination passing certificates.
