Central Library

Denoting to the follow-up of communication with all Iraqi cultural institutions, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, received Dr. Ahmad Khalaf Alsabaawi, lecturer at the Institute of Fine Arts in Hamdaniyya, and Mr. Saad Behnam Girgis, teacher at Mar Afram Syriac Secondary School, who delivered a collection of latest various books in Arabic and Syriac languages, donated by the Union of Iraqi Syriac Writers to the Central Library via the noted Iraqi Syriac writer Zuhair Barada as an attempt to retrieve the Central Library’s former reputation as the destination of intellectuals, students and researchers at the University of Mosul and Nineveh Governorate. The General Secretariat of the University Libraries expressed its pleasure and appreciation for this distinguished initiative and it looks forward to more cooperation and communication with the Union for the sake of serving science and culture in our dear country.
