The Secretary-General of the University of Mosul Libraries Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar received Dr. Anya Neistat, the Legal Director, and some members of the Clooney Foundation For Justice, who paid a visit to the Central Library in coordination with the University Presidency’s Department of Media and Public Relations to view on the ground the reality of the Library and document the effects of the deliberate destruction and crimes caused by ISIS. The Foundation’s delegation offered its voluntary services represented in searching for precious books that were stolen from the Library and returning them with the help of the competent authorities in order to support culture and science at the University of Mosul.
