Central Library

On the occasion of the recent reopening of the Central Library, Al-Mawsleya TV, represented by the TV presenter, Mr. Ziyad Alsumaidaee, and the accompanied cameramen, visited the Central Library and conducted an interview with Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary General of the University Libraries, to be briefed of the stages of the reconstruction of the Central Library and to document the efforts made by the Presidency of the University of Mosul, the local and international organizations and personalities, the General Secretariat of University Libraries and the library staff members to revive, restore and support the Central Library which was the aim of ISIS terrorism that intentionally aimed to eliminate culture, science and knowledge by destroying and burning it with its contents including hundreds of thousands of books in various types of knowledge. But in the end, the Iraqi will triumphed, and the Central Library returned better than it was to play its pioneering knowledge role and serve students and researchers for the sake of the progress of our beloved country.
