Central Library

In an effort to convey the University of Mosul’s message to the world, the Secretary General of the University of Mosul Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, received correspondents from the Rudaw Media Foundation who visited the Central Library. They were on a mission to document the important event of the long-awaited reopening of the Central Library, which has suffered unprecedented destruction caused by ISIS, the enemy of science, culture and humanity. Mr. Sayf briefed them of the efforts made by the local and international supporters to revive the Central Library, showing the delight and enthusiasm of the University students, academics and employees and local personalities with the completion of the reconstruction and reopening of the Central Library to begin again performing its knowledge duty in serving its users and keeping pace with the modern global academic libraries
