Central Library

In an effort to convey the University of Mosul’s message to the world, the Secretary General of the University of Mosul Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, received Ms. Sabrina Mayer, Correspondent of the Radio-Canada, who visited the Central Library. She was on a mission to document the important event of the long-awaited reopening of the Central Library after suffering unprecedented destruction caused by ISIS, the enemy of science, culture and humanity. Mr. Sayf briefed her of the efforts made by the local and international supporters to revive the Central Library, shedding lights on the supervising role played by Rector Al-Ahmady to revive the Central Library and the delight and enthusiasm of the University students, academics and employees and local personalities with the completion of the reconstruction and reopening of the Central Library to begin again performing its knowledge duty in serving its users and keeping pace with the modern global academic libraries.
