Central Library

Under the guidance of the Director of the UNESCO Office in Iraq, Paolo Fontani, a delegation from the UNESCO Department of culture visited the Central Library. They were received by the Secretary General of the University Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, who briefed them of the efforts made by the library staff members, UNDP and many international supporters and the continuous follow-up from the University of Mosul Rector. Ms. Nuria Rocca Ruiz, Associate Project Director of the UNESCO Department of Culture, and the accompanied delegation were glad for this achievement, promising that the UNESCO will continue supporting the Central Library by working to develop plans to establish various activities in it.
