As part of the University of Mosul’s endeavor to cooperate and exchange experiences with Arab academics, and in the presence of the Secretary General of the University Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, the Continuing Education Division of the Central Library hosted Prof. Dr. Nidhal Sabri, former Dean, College of Economics, Birzeit University, in an online workshop. Dr. Nidhal participated in this workshop with his valuable research entitled “Trends of Academic Publishing”, in which he explained what is meant by academic publishing, levels of publishers, publishing houses and the importance of publishing houses in relation to periodicals, mentioning free and open access periodicals, explaining the publishing of university researches and theses, focusing on the importance of academic search engines for researchers and students, and finally mentioning the merits of switching to the virtual academic publication. At the end, the workshop attendants were given participation certificates.
