Central Library

At the invitation of the Library and Information Association Conference and Exhibition in Liverpool, UK, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary General of the University of Mosul Libraries, participated as a first keynote speaker in the Conference aimed at enhancing cooperation between international institutions and libraries. Many specialists and those interested in libraries and information participated in the Conference, which shed light on the initiatives and strategies being taken in libraries and information technologies. Mr. Sayf gave a speech in which he reviewed the reality of the Central Library and the achievements made under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kossay Alahmady, President of the University of Mosul, and with the exceptional efforts made by local and global supporters and volunteers, the University of Mosul and the Central Library staff members, UNDP and KFW. The Conference attendees expressed their admiration and appreciation for these efforts that contribute to serving all societies.
