Conducting a Workshop on Culture of Information Security and Its Impact on Work
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul, the Central Library organized a workshop titled “Culture of Information Security and Its Impact on Work” on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. The workshop was supervised and delivered by Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary General of the University of Mosul Libraries, and was organized by Ms. Saba Maad, Head of the Continuing Education Division at the Central Library, and managed by Dr. Ghada Abdulkareem. Mr. Sayf gave a detailed explanation of the definition and importance of information security, the components and pillars of the information system, highlighting the classification of information crimes and hackers, means of protection, and how to choose password and biometrics. The workshop was attended by the librarians of the colleges and centers of the University of Mosul, who were awarded certificates of participation.
