Central Library

In an effort by the University of Mosul to strengthen cultural and scientific cooperation with international parties, the President of the University of Mosul Prof. Dr. Kossay Alahmady, and in the presence of the University Assistant Presidents, the Secretary-General of the University Libraries Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar and a number of administrative officials, received the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Maurizio Greganti, the Director-General of UNESCO Ms. Audrey Azoulay, accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Ahmed Albadrani and the Iraqi Ambassador to France Dr. Wadee Betty, during their visit to the Central Library, where an agreement was signed between UNESCO and the Italian Embassy to support the Central Library at the University of Mosul. Mr. Sayf briefed the visitors on the services of the Central Library and the workflow in it and expressed the importance of this joint cooperation in supporting the Central Library as a knowledge platform that provides services to all. The visitors expressed satisfaction with what has been achieved in terms of reviving the Central Library, promising more cooperation and support that the University of Mosul looks forward to
