Central Library

In conformity with directions of the Alahmady-presided University of Mosul regarding promoting cooperation and collaboration with the diplomatic figures, the Scientific Assistant President of the University of Mosul Prof. Dr. Munir Salem, a number of the University officials , and the Secretary General of the University Libraries Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar received the Finnish Ambassador to Iraq Ms. Anu Saarela and a number of the Embassy staff, accompanied by the UNDP work team, who visited the Central Library to be briefed on the services offered to the library users and the importance of the Finnish cooperation in supporting the Central Library as a knowledge platform that provides services to all. During the visit the Ambassador provided the Central Library with a collection of various books as a first step to support this important edifice, expressing her admiration for the Central Library’s positive impact in spreading cultural and scientific awareness.
