‏Within the framework of enhancing consistent collaboration with international academic institutes, the President of the University of Mosul Prof. Dr. Kossay Alahmady received the Director of the Middle East and Arab Region Project Dr. Geraldine Chatelard and the Director of the Iraq Project Mr. Zakariya Haffar from the French National Library, accompanied by the French General Consul Jean-Christophe Augé during their visit to the University of Mosul, in the presence of the Director of the French-Iraqi Cultural Institute in Mosul Dr. Mohamed Zohayr and the Head of the Francophone Corner Unit at the University of Mosul Mr. Baraa Ibrahim. After that, the Secretary General of the University Libraries Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar welcomed the visitors, and took the visitors on a tour in the Central Library, briefing them on the workflow in the Central Library. The visitors were later taken to the Mosul Studies Center, where they were received by the Center’s Director Dr. Ali Alobaydi, as well as Dr. Mohamed Aldabagh, Dr. Amer Aljomayli, Dr. Maysoon Alabayaji, and a number of the Center’s staff members to view the library there. During their visit, the visitors were impressed with the astounding achievements done at the University of Mosul, wishing it more progress in all cultural and scientific fields, and looking forward to promote collaboration with the University of Mosul
